Welcome to my website and blog! I am a Licensed Nutritionist and in addition to seeing clients, I study and write about alternative medicine, nutrition science, and carnivore and animal-based ways-of-eating.

Hi! I’m so glad you found my website! I have been studying nutrition for over 20 years and it’s my passion. It all started with experimenting on myself in early adulthood with different ways-of-eating: I have tried: vegetarian, vegan, raw foodist, fruitarian, paleo, gluten-free, anti-candida, ketogenic, carnivore, animal-based, protein-sparing modified fasting, reverse-dieting, and pro-metabolic. While doing this experimenting, I was conducting research (on my own and in grad school) on the anthropology of the human diet, and discovering that our pre-agricultural human ancestors were largely carnivorous, eating most meat, raw dairy, eggs, honey, fruit, and tubers.
For the last few years I have found balance, healing, and complete contentment with a diet composed of healthy animal-based foods as well as fruit and less-toxic plants. I also practice zone-2 cardio and resistance training/weight lifting in addition to advanced vinyasa yoga.
I have healed and put into remission my own type 2 diabetes, SIBO, IBS, celiac, heartburn, acne, alcoholism, anxiety and depression, and lost over 60 pounds and kept it off for 10 years. I love to share what I’ve learned with clients, helping them to use an evolutionary way-of-eating to heal their body and create weight loss without hunger or deprivation.
I am a Licensed Nutritionist, both nationally (CNS) and in the State of Minnesota (LN), and I’m also a Certified Lactation Counselor, Certified Life Coach, Certified Codependency Recovery Coach, and an Advanced Yoga Instructor.
I have my Masters in Biological Sciences (MBS - an interdisciplinary degree in Nutrition, Public Health and Biochemistry) from the University of MN, and my BA in Liberal Arts. Nutrition counseling, life coaching, and lactation counseling are available upon appointment, both online and in-person.
Besides food and nutrition, my other big passion is gut health. All healing in the body starts in the gut, and it’s as important as nutrition for putting diseases into remission and keeping weight off. I work with clients to improve gut health by decreasing harmful bacterial and fungal infections, introducing beneficial bacteria, and healing leaky gut - all with simple herbal supplements and ancestral foods. Increased gut health is linked to improved mental health, sleep, skin, digestion, reduced autoimmune symptoms, and even lowering body fat. Ask about my 90-day Gut Health Protocol!
I take a whole-person approach with clients, listening to their experience and concerns and coming up with a personalized plan for their goals and aspirations. I specialize in increasing metabolism and lowering the body’s set-point so weight stays off, healing autoimmune diseases and chronic diseases with food and simple supplements, and improving gut health.
